Luke Steps Down From Divine Ascension
Luke has decided to step down from Divine Ascension. As an original founding member of the band, Luke leaves behind an amazing legacy in the band as well as the local and international metal scene. We would like to celebrate his contribution to everything we have achieved and wish him the very best in all his future endeavours.
Luke states:
“Divine Ascension has been a large part of my life since the formation of the band in 2005. I have enjoyed my time in the band and am proud of what we have accomplished over the years. The three albums I have been involved in and the many tours and local shows have made for fantastic experiences and lasting memories. However, what made this decision all the more difficult are the members I leave behind. The rehearsal room is a unique space for any band and it is the moments of creative discovery, the refinement of our craft and the time with friends that have been the hardest aspects to walk away from. So to Jen, Karl and Jase, I say thank you. It has been a joy and a privilege to play and write alongside you, and I wish you every success moving forward. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the bands and broader metal community in Australia, especially to the people who have offered us so much time and support from our home town in Melbourne. Thank you for the belief, passion and effort that you put into the scene, and in giving bands old and new their time in the sun. And last, but certainly not least, to fans of the band, thank you for your unwavering support. I have heard a lot of new material recently and there is definitely more great music to come from Divine Ascension.“
